Agent Zero
NexusAi Summary: Agent Zero is an open-source agentic framework and desktop assistant for autonomous workflows on your hardware. It pairs a Docker-sandboxed runtime with a Launcher app, CLI connector, and Plugin Hub to build controllable, auditable agents with optional LLM API access.
NexusAi Overview
Typical workflow: install with the Launcher or Docker, start an instance, select your preferred model/provider, connect the CLI to project files as needed, and compose tasks using skills and plugins. Agents execute reproducible steps, create tools, and self-correct within a controlled environment, producing traceable outputs you can audit and refine.
How It Works
Engineers, security researchers, data teams, and founders who need controllable automation benefit most. It suits regulated environments, on-prem deployments, and teams that must audit every step. Use it to prototype assistants, harden CI workflows, sweep for vulnerabilities, triage research, or maintain repeatable data pipelines. Because execution is transparent and portable, it’s well suited to organizations prioritizing privacy, provenance, and operational reliability over black-box convenience.
- Desktop Launcher manages installs, updates, backups, and multiple local or remote instances.
- Docker sandbox isolates execution while enabling controlled system access when authorized.
- CLI connector links agents to terminal, files, and browser for real tasks.
- Plugin Hub discovers, installs, and audits community plugins with integrated security scans.
- Agentic RAG and context engineering deliver focused, efficient, and improvable agent behavior.

Who Should Use It
Start with the A0 Launcher to install on macOS, Linux, or Windows, or run directly with Docker. The launcher provisions images, manages updates, and backs up /a0/usr. Alternatively, install the A0 CLI to bridge the container with your local terminal and project files. Configure your preferred AI providers and models; secrets stay local to your runtime. Explore the Docs, DeepWiki, and examples to build Skills and plugins. An optional LLM API (beta) exposes a straightforward HTTP surface for programmatic access and evaluation.
NexusAi: Autonomous agents belong on your hardware—transparent, reproducible, and fully under your control.
Getting Started
Agent Zero stands out by combining deterministic execution, containerized isolation, context discipline, and explicit tool control with a first‑class Launcher and audited plugin ecosystem. It lets teams adopt agentic workflows without surrendering privacy or reproducibility, while still supporting local or cloud models and community‑driven governance.

Agent Zero
Agent Zero, s.r.o. builds and maintains the Agent Zero open-source agentic framework. The team focuses on reliable, transparent automation that runs on user hardware, emphasizing deterministic software, containerized execution, plugin security, and community governance. Based in Brno, they steward docs, tooling, and an evolving ecosystem.
Agent Zero is an open-source agentic AI framework and computer assistant built to run on your own machine. It combines deterministic software with real system execution, dynamic tool creation, and carefully engineered context to produce reliable, transparent workflows. The A0 Launcher installs, updates, backs up /a0/usr, and manages multiple local or remote instances. A Docker-sandboxed runtime keeps agents isolated while a CLI connector links the sandbox to your terminal, project files, and browser when needed. The Plugin Hub lets you discover, audit, and update community plugins, with integrated security scans before deployment. Agent Zero supports local or cloud models and offers an optional LLM API (beta). Memory and retrieval are implemented with agentic RAG, giving granular control of knowledge and behavior. The project includes community governance and an A0T token on Base L2, plus free private AI access via Venice AI for eligible users. The result: reproducible, ownable agents that solve real tasks end-to-end.
