OutSystems
NexusAi Summary: OutSystems is an enterprise AI development platform for building, orchestrating, and governing agentic applications. It blends low-code, AI assistance, and deep integration to deliver secure, compliant, mission-critical solutions faster across web, mobile, and operations—without sacrificing control, scalability, or quality.
NexusAi Overview
Start with visual models for data, UI, and logic; scaffold flows with Mentor; connect to enterprise systems through prebuilt connectors; compose agents in Agent Workbench with human checkpoints; virtualize data via Data Fabric; then promote through governed environments with automated testing, approvals, and observability to reach production safely.
Capabilities and Architecture
OutSystems fits enterprises modernizing core processes, regulated organizations enforcing governance, and product teams delivering customer-grade experiences quickly. Ideal users include platform engineering, app dev leaders, solution architects, and business technology teams who must integrate legacy systems, orchestrate AI agents responsibly, and iterate safely. Typical scenarios span onboarding, claims, lending, field service, supply chain, customer portals, and AI-augmented internal tools.
- Model applications and agents visually, then refine with AI-assisted code suggestions.
- Coordinate multi-agent workflows with human approvals, audits, and step-level guardrails.
- Virtualize and govern access to distributed data sources with Data Fabric.
- Integrate quickly using connectors for SAP, Salesforce, REST APIs, and events.
- Promote reliably via pipelines with testing, approvals, telemetry, and compliance checks.
Where It Excels
Why It Matters
Begin by creating an environment and signing into the platform. Use training resources and documentation to model a simple application, then enable Mentor for guided generation and reviews. Connect to systems using packaged connectors or REST endpoints; map data through Data Fabric to avoid duplication. Compose agents in Agent Workbench, add human approval steps, and configure policies. Establish a DevOps pipeline with testing gates and environment promotions. When ready, deploy to cloud or on‑prem targets with observability enabled. Customers can engage OutSystems services or partners for complex migrations and industry templates.
NexusAi: Deliver mission‑critical apps and agents fast, with enterprise guardrails, integration, and control.

OutSystems is a unified platform for enterprise AI development and agentic systems. Teams model applications and agents visually, augmenting work with Mentor—an AI assistant that guides design, generation, and monitoring across the SDLC. Agent Workbench enables orchestration of multi-agent workflows and human-in-the-loop steps, while Data Fabric virtualizes access to distributed data sources. Built-in governance, policy controls, and auditing enforce enterprise compliance by default. The platform integrates with existing systems and AI models, including common enterprise stacks and connectors for systems like SAP and Salesforce. DevOps pipelines, lifecycle management, and cloud deployment options support repeatable releases from pilot to production at scale. By combining low-code acceleration with extensibility where needed, OutSystems helps organizations ship differentiated, secure software and AI agents faster—without lock‑in to brittle point tools.
