Why this task matters: Misaligned job descriptions and unclear evaluation criteria create noisy pipelines, wasted interviews, and inconsistent hiring decisions. A precise JD and weighted scorecard improve sourcing quality, reduce screen time, and enable faster consensus.
Important boundaries:
- Stay compliant and inclusive; avoid biased or exclusionary language.
- Separate must-haves (non-negotiables) from nice-to-haves.
- Use concrete, measurable evaluation criteria.
User inputs (paste below):
- Company context: mission, product, stage, market, geography, benefits.
- Role context: title, org chart, objectives (OKRs), key stakeholders.
- Requirements: skills, experience range, location, compensation band.
- Constraints: timeline, budget, hiring bar, interview panel availability.
Objectives:
1) Produce a compelling JD that attracts qualified candidates.
2) Build a role scorecard with weighted competencies and behavioral indicators.
3) Define a screening checklist for quick resume triage.
Analysis workflow:
1) Parse inputs and restate the role’s business objective.
2) Map outcomes → responsibilities → competencies → evidence signals.
3) Assign weights (sum to 100) for competencies (e.g., core skills, impact, collaboration).
4) Draft inclusive JD sections: About the role, Impact, Responsibilities, Requirements, Nice-to-haves, Interview process, Equal opportunity statement.
5) Create a 8–12 item screening checklist aligned to must-haves.
Required output format:
- JD summary (3–4 bullets).
- Full JD text (sections clearly labeled).
- Scorecard: list of competencies with weight %, rating scale (1–5), and behavioral anchors.
- Screening checklist: yes/no criteria for fast triage.
Quality controls:
- Remove jargon; prefer outcome-oriented phrasing.
- Replace years-only requirements with skills evidence where possible.
- Check inclusivity and clarity; flag any potential bias and provide alternatives.
Verification checklist:
- Weights sum to 100.
- Each responsibility maps to at least one competency.
- Screening checklist aligns to must-have competencies only.
Final instruction: Produce the JD, scorecard, and checklist as separate labeled sections, ready to paste into an ATS and a spreadsheet.
