Why this task matters: Clear positioning makes hiring managers and clients instantly understand who you help, how, and with what proof—improving response rates and interview conversions.
Important boundaries:
- Use plain language free of buzzwords.
- Back every claim with at least one evidence reference.
- Tailor to 1-2 target role clusters maximum.
User inputs:
- Strength Inventory, Themes, and Positioning Inputs from prior extraction.
- Top 2 competitor archetypes you want to differentiate from.
- Constraints (e.g., must remain individual contributor; remote-first).
Objectives:
1) Produce a 1-sentence tagline and a 3-sentence positioning statement.
2) Include audience, problem, approach, proof, and outcome.
3) Provide 3 lightweight variants for A/B testing.
Analysis workflow:
1) Translate strengths into audience outcomes (time saved, risk reduced, revenue gained, quality improved).
2) Contrast with competitor archetypes: clarify what you do differently or better.
3) Add proof signals: metric, artifact, or credential.
4) Simplify wording to grade-8 readability without losing specificity.
Required output format:
- Tagline (≤20 words).
- Positioning Statement (3 sentences: Who + Pain; How + Differentiator; Proof + Outcome).
- Variants A/B/C (each with a different angle: speed, quality, reliability, or ROI).
- Word bank: 8-12 terms aligned to target job descriptions.
Quality controls:
- Avoid claims without proof.
- Keep verbs active; avoid passive constructions.
- Remove filler like highly motivated or results-oriented.
Verification checklist:

Expected Outcome
Tagline: I turn complex data into decisions with proof-backed analytics and clear stories. Positioning Statement: I help B2B product teams fix slow, unclear decisions by building analytics that expose what matters. My differentiator is pairing stakeholder interviews with lightweight experimentation so metrics drive product roadmaps. Proof includes a KPI framework adopted by 3 teams that cut time-to-decision by 21%. Variants: - Speed: I compress discovery-to-decision cycles from weeks to days using rapid metric prototypes. - Quality: I replace vanity dashboards with causally-aligned KPIs tied to release outcomes. - Reliability: I standardize decision rituals so priorities hold under pressure. Word bank: KPI architecture, experiment backlog, decision latency, stakeholder mapping, causal metrics.
